Snapshot of the Role: MasterClass is looking for a Sr. IT Systems Administrator to serve in a full-time capacity. This role will be responsible for configuring and monitoring MDM Solutions and system Endpoint Security, improving our monitoring systems, and helping to maintain and build our internal automation tools.
This person will also be responsible for the planning, implementation, maintenance, and execution of various projects related to current and future IT systems. We seek a responsive, highly productive professional who can communicate effectively across all altitudes and brings a positive attitude to each situation.
This role is a remote position with periodic in-person touchpoints (HQ in San Francisco, CA)
What You Will Do: - Support and manage MasterClass' growing fleet of computers and users and ensure high SLA and uptime of those systems for our employees.
- Work closely with the System Administration team to develop a deep understanding of the current tools in place and the priority of new systems.
- Help improve monitoring of our post-production edit workstation fleet and related storage systems.
- Maintain and grow our internal automation applications.
- Work and manage the Help Desk Queue tickets escalated from Help Desk Specialist Agents.
About You: - 5+ years of experience in Information Technology
- Familiarity with the following tools and concepts: Windows/macOS MDM Administration, Android Device MDM Administration, IDP Management, Endpoint Security support
- 1-3 years of experience working with Cloud Infrastructure in AWS and Infrastructure as Code technologies like Terraform
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience troubleshooting large distributed systems
- Experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, and Bash
- "Yes" Attitude: Experience in navigating high-pressure encounters and last-minute changes
- Ability to maintain detailed notes, documentation, and updates to staff and end users

MasterClass's salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry. In addition to salary, we also offer equity and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, flexible PTO, and more). The range listed is for the expectations as laid out in the job description, however we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with you as a candidate.
