Job Description
The Product Manager for Aftermarket Parts will lead the development and execution of the product strategy for aftermarket products. This position is a key player in collaborating with various teams—Parts, Sales & Marketing, Engineering, and Product Management—to understand market needs, track trends, monitor product performance, and gather valuable customer feedback. The Product Manager will play an essential role in identifying opportunities for product growth and improvement within the portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
Collect and organize data on competitors, market share, and internal performance metrics to inform product strategies and decisions.
Product Development & Roadmap Management:
Drive the development of new products and enhancements by organizing feature additions and improvements based on market and customer insights. Prepare and present a Product Development Roadmap to senior leadership for approval and funding.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the Product Management Team (PMT), Engineering, and Parts departments to ensure smooth progress of new product development projects, meeting deadlines and launch criteria.
Product Launch & Positioning:
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Parts teams to ensure successful product positioning and smooth launches.
Product Specifications & Customization Requests:
Maintain an accurate product specification library and act as the primary contact for sales requests regarding product customization, ensuring alignment with the overall product strategy.
Compliance & Forecasting:
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and use advanced forecasting techniques to plan for product lifecycle and obsolescence. Track inventory turnover rates and manage slow-moving parts.
Supplier Negotiation & Pricing:
Assist in negotiating end-of-life agreements with suppliers and setting prices based on product value, ensuring convenience and minimizing downtime for customers.
Customer Support & Service:
Identify key products that require ongoing aftermarket support, focusing on high-wear and frequently replaced parts.
Support Company Values:
Actively contribute to the company's mission, vision, and core values in all aspects of the role.
Leadership & Influence:
As a Product Manager, you will lead by influence across various teams to effectively execute the product strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Communication & Collaboration:
Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects effectively.

Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and a track record of understanding customer needs to create tailored solutions.
Public Speaking & Presentation Skills:
Comfortable presenting ideas and strategies to stakeholders and leadership teams.
Experience & Education:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering Design or Product Management. A degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Travel Requirements:
Ability to travel overnight, approximately 3-5 days, 3-6 times a year, with occasional overseas travel. A valid passport is required.
Additional Skills & Requirements:
Ability to write clear reports, business correspondence, and procedural documents.
A proactive self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
