Job Title: Picker/Packer

Location: 5428 Bierson Way, Central Point, OR, 97502

Schedule: Monday - Friday: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Pay: $16.50/hour


Summary: Are you ready to play a vital role in our dynamic team as a Picker/Packer? In this exciting position, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, accurately picking orders and packing them with precision to ensure they reach our customers in perfect condition. But that’s not all! You’ll also assist with restocking, cycle counting, and even training fellow Pickers, all while contributing to the smooth and efficient flow of our organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Responsible for manually packing pulled orders, according to procedure
  • Picking orders by following packing list and invoices
  • Responsible for inputting customer order information into company shipping software
  • Verifies invoice and picking slip details
  • Determined the proper size box and inserts promotional literature and packing materials for each order
  • Assembles cartons, boxes and inserts
  • Seals and labels packages for processing
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts are required
  • Supports other departments as needed
Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • High school education or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 6+ months of related experience or training

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects to completion
  • Well organized, with the ability to set priorities and meet reasonable deadlines
  • Must pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate, fosters teamwork and collaboration
  • Trustworthy, reliable, takes ownership, proactive in learning and delivering excellence.
  • Assist with efficient team operation and continuous process improvement, by participating actively in all team and departmental meetings as requested
  • Ensures a safe work environment by following all safety rules, maintaining strong safety awareness, participating in required safety training and meetings
  • Promotes a work environment that meets cGMP regulations by following all established procedures and completing all required training on cGMPs
  • Basic math and computer skills are necessary

Requirements: Candidates must have strong mathematical skills, including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, area, circumference, volume, and percentages, as well as apply basic algebra and geometry concepts. The role demands physical stamina, requiring frequent walking, bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 49 lbs. The work environment can be noisy and may require personal protective equipment (PPE), with occasional exposure to outdoor weather and slippery surfaces. Additionally, candidates should possess strong reasoning abilities to solve practical problems and navigate situations with limited standardization, as well as interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business SOPs, technical procedures, safety rules, and computer operating manuals is essential. Strong interpersonal skills are also crucial, as candidates should be able to organize and communicate thoughts effectively while maintaining composure and professionalism in all interactions.
