⚡Role Overview:

As an Electrical Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of electrical systems for renewable energy projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of electrical designs, from initial concept to final integration. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer who is passionate about contributing to the green energy revolution.

⚡Key Responsibilities:

• Solar Design and Performance: Utilize your field experience with performance calculations, EPC contracts, and PVSyst to design and optimize solar systems.
• Electrical Systems Knowledge: Apply your understanding of solar electrical components, including inverters, AC/DC cabling, substations, and layouts.
• High Voltage Exposure: Manage and work with high voltage systems, particularly in main power transformers and breakers.
• Solar Development Software: Use Solar GIS data sets and PVSyst modeling software to assist with solar project design and performance.
• Renewable Energy Interconnections: Assist with interconnection processes for renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar energy.
• BESS Exposure: Contribute to projects involving Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

⚡General Requirements:

• Team Player: A positive attitude, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit are essential. You’ll work with a dynamic team and be ready to take on tasks outside of the renewable energy space as needed.
• Industry Experience: You should have a good understanding of the solar industry, including its challenges and opportunities for growth.
• Travel: There may be occasional travel involved (approximately 20%).
• Office-Based: Ideally based in Chicago, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days a week

• Has between 5 and 12 years of experience in solar energy, with room to grow within the company.
• Strong field knowledge, particularly with high-voltage systems and solar electrical components.
• Has familiarity with solar development software and GIS data.
