GENERAL FUNCTION
The Director of Fleet Management & Optimization develops strategic plans, and oversees execution of fleet related projects including location planning, store openings, closings, remodels, store maintenance and projects related to the in-store experience with an approved multi-million dollar budget. This role is responsible for overseeing a team responsible for executing the brands fleet projects including project logistics, new store opening procedures, fleet processes and procedures, operational readiness and management of all project deliverables. This role will partner with cross functional partners within EssilorLuxottica, Retail Host partners and vendors to define and deliver projects within agreed upon financial parameters, scope and service level agreements.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and oversee the annual/quarterly/monthly operational execution plans for all store openings, closures, remodels, relocations and maintenance for the brand
Lead and execute the long-term strategy and roadmap for store planning to optimize penetration with Corporate and Franchise partners in alignment with brand strategy, goals and customer experience
Develop standardized reporting and analysis or operating standards, processes and procedures to evaluate the “health” of the store fleet and identify opportunities for continued improvement
Evaluate, prioritize and lead implementation of projects related to continuously enhancing the physical store experience (design, fixturing, technology, maintenance) to ensure stores are positioned to deliver the best patient and customer experience
Serve as a primary liaison with Franchisees, vendors and cross functional leaders to ensure delivery of projects within agreed upon scope, objectives, and financial parameters for each project
Provide leadership and direction to the field leaders to ensure leaders adhere to scope, budget and timelines and execute projects with excellence; addressing issues and questions and building in process improvements for the future
Responsible for monitoring project progress and reporting to key partners and senior leaders to ensure that projects meet expectations, budgets, and deadlines
Maintain open communication with all involved project partners to improve operational needs
Align with other departments on projects, prevents and manages associated conflicts
Resolve post-implementation matters
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
10 years’ experience in retail, project management or other technical discipline
Experience leading multiple, complex projects
Experience managing multimillion dollar budgets
Ability to lead multiple cross-functional teams
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with and oversee team, as well as many levels of management
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Results oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and ability to work under high pressure conditions
Knowledge of Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel up to 30% of time
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Project Management experience within specialty retail operations
Experience with corporate store operations
Ability to read and understand architectural documents
Pay Range: 144,010.00 - 230,987.60
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
