** Director, Branded Food Service Customer Marketing**

This new hire will work at McCormick's global headquarters located in Hunt Valley, Maryland. The Director, BFS Customer Marketing will report to the Senior Director, North America Marketing & eCommerce.

**Position Overview:**
Responsible for the strategic direction, development and execution of customer marketing plans and activities across broadline distributor, specialty, eCommerce, as well as national accounts and QSR customers, for North America. Responsible for developing key customer and channel strategies that align with business objectives and strategies, resulting in mutually beneficial plans that drive sales and profit for McCormick. Directly influences and enrolls leadership and major customers behind customer strategies and activations. Manages and develops marketing managers and customer marketing managers, including high talent employees. Reports to Senior Director, North America Marketing & eCommerce.
**Responsibilities:**
* Develops long-range and annual customer marketing plans and presents to divisional and company leadership. Ensures adequate plans are implemented and resources are in place to achieve long-term growth goals. Plans, directs, and coordinates the efforts of internal and external resources in brand management, customer marketing and Marketing Excellence to achieve goals and objectives.
* Works with key customer groups on marketing plan development and execution to drive consumer impressions and trial, and ultimately sales and profit. This includes customer marketing, direct work with customers, as well as brand management.
* Establishes priorities and direction for customers, channels, spend/investment choices. Key business partner who provides direction to cross-functional partners in Sales, Finance, Marketing Excellence, Culinary.
* Responsible for talent development and succession, engagement, and management of multiple direct reports. Serves as mentor to transformational and growth talent.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
* 8 10 years marketing or sales experience designing marketing strategies and execution.
* Expert level Knowledge of brand building and product management and foodservice customer landscape, including annual and long-term plan development and execution.
* Proven team leadership and employee management and development skills including performance management and assessment and mentoring of high talent employees.
* Broad business lens to include deep understanding of Sales, Supply chain, finance, and other functions.
* Deep understanding of the industry sector and competitive landscape to enable the organization to differentiate itself from the competition.
* In-depth understanding of concepts, principles, and practices of marketing, and how own area integrates with other Marketing areas and functional areas such as Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain.
* Exercises discretion regarding strategic recommendations, data and sources, analytic conclusions, and financial recommendations.
* Excellent leadership skills must be demonstrated. Demonstrated ability to build strong cross functional relationships Customer facing with largest customers.
* Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, both internally and externally.
* Strategic Leadership and thinking - Highest strategic and analytical thinking. Collaboration and relationship building skills to work with all levels of the organization including executive levels. Develop and communicate specific and measurable marketing strategies.
* Complexity/Project Management - Develops and leads multiple projects that have significant impact to companys profitability and support annual and long-term goals and objectives. Contributes substantially to improvement projects. Communication - Developed communication and diplomacy skills required to negotiate internally and externally at high levels. Customer facing with largest customers e.g. Sysco, McDonalds, Wendys.
