Job Summary

R and M Fuel Transport Inc has 4 immediate openings for Day and Night Shifts for the Bakersfield Ca.Terminal. Drivers average to work 55-65 hours a week, year round. Tanker experience preferred, but not necessary. We will provide training to the right person who demonstrates a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Load and offload petroleum products, safely (drivers self-load)
• Deliver petroleum products to customer's based in California & Nevada, in a safe and timely manner
• Perform duties assigned by dispatch
• Perform safety checks on trucks by conducting pre-trip and post trip inspections
• Complete and process paperwork in compliance with company and safety procedures
• Comply with company rules, policies, and procedures including all State/Federal D.O.T. regulations
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness a must
• Adhere to all safety standards and report any operating malfunctions, unsafe conditions, spills, injuries and accidents immediately to supervisor
• Record accurate driver e-logs and DVIR

Driver Requirements

• Valid CA Class A CDL
• Tanker and HazMat endorsements
• One year of verifiable class A driving experience or equivalent
• Clean MVR - 1 points in past 12 months, maximum 1.5 points in the past 3 years
• Must have no more than 1 chargeable or preventable accident within the past 3 years
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
• Must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical, background check, and drug test
• Must be able to pass a drive test
• Must have excellent communication skills
• Must have basic mathematical skills
• Must have basic computer skills
• Proven listening, problem solving and interpersonal skills
• Must have a positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $26.00 to $28.00 /hour

Required experience:
