Position Overview

The Catering Sales & Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in our company's success, managing the entire client journey from initial inquiry through to event execution and follow-up. This position requires a versatile professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can seamlessly transition between client-facing responsibilities and behind-the-scenes operations.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Client Relations

- Respond promptly to all sales inquiries, converting leads into bookings through exceptional communication

- Conduct compelling in-person sales presentations and tastings for potential clients

- Develop customized catering proposals that align with client needs and budget

- Build and maintain strong client relationships through consistent, professional communication

- Implement after-sales follow-up strategies to ensure client satisfaction and generate referrals

Operations & Event Management

- Coordinate all aspects of event planning and execution, from menu customization to staffing

- Develop and manage delivery schedules and logistics for multiple events

- Create detailed event timelines and coordinate with venue staff and other vendors

- Oversee inventory management and purchasing, ensuring optimal stock levels

- Coordinate with culinary team to ensure flawless execution of client menus

Marketing & Business Development

- Manage company social media accounts, creating engaging content that showcases our offerings

- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to expand our client base

- Track industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategic recommendations

- Contribute to marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns

- Represent the company at networking events and industry functions

Qualifications

- 2+ years experience in catering, event planning, hospitality, or related field

- Proven sales ability with track record of meeting or exceeding targets

- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficient with CRM systems, MS Office, and social media platforms

- Valid driver's license with clean driving record

- Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
