With locations in Richmond, Ashland, Waynesboro, Chesapeake and Williamsburg, the Apple Door Family has been serving Virginia since 1973. The Business Development Specialist will work in tandem with the sales department, turning over leads to be quoted and sold. The Business Development Specialist is expected to manage accounts, meet monthly and quarterly sales targets, and follow the sales strategy as assigned. The expectation is 40+ hours per week through road mapping, cold calling, in-person appointments, networking, company meetings, etc.


· Gather relevant job / project data.

· Coordinate with various departments to manage the sales transaction from inception to completion.

· Conduct market research to remain knowledgeable of competitors and product offerings.

· Identify new business opportunities by market research, networking, etc.

· Create strategies to assist the branch and overall organization achieve its goals.

· Qualifications

· High school diploma (or equivalent)

· Acceptable MVR to be added to our auto insurance.

· Valid Driver's License

· Acceptable Drug Screen Results – Pre-Employment

· 2+ years' experience in a sales role in same or similar industry OR 5 + years' experience in a service tech role within the industry


· Motivated, Initiative – Taker

· Mechanical Inclination – Knowledge of the products for which you are selling.

· Outgoing, People relatable person

· Ability to think outside of the box and identify innovative product solutions.

· Exceptional track record of proven customer service skills

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.

· Ability to provide accurate measurements / take offs for job quotes.

· Flexibility to handle unexpected issues and adapt to changing work environments and schedules.
